Keegan Lester is an American writer. His lyric memoir Perfect Dirt is forthcoming from West Virginia University Press in the fall of 2021. Mary Ruefle selected his first collection of poetry this shouldn’t be beautiful but it was & it's all i had so i drew it for the 2016 Slope Editions Book Prize. His work is published in Ploughshares, The Boston Review, The Journal, Hobart, CutBank, The Adroit, and Sixth Finch among others. He has been featured and or mentioned on NPR, The Kenyon Review, Rollingstone Magazine, Vol. 1 Brooklyn and The New School Writing Blog.
